William (Bill) Shaddock is the founding partner of the Shaddock Law Firm, and is an attorney admitted to practice law since 1977.  He received his B.B.A. in Finance from Texas Christian University in 1973, and his M.B.A. in Real Estate from Southern Methodist University in 1974.  Mr. Shaddock then went on to earn his J.D. from Baylor University School of Law, during which time he attended a Summer Law Study Program at Oxford University, in Oxford, England, and completed a clerkship at the U.S. Securities & Exchange Commission.  Mr. Shaddock began his legal career in 1977 with the law firm of Turner, Hitchins, Webb, McInernery, Hartnett & Strother where he focused on business-related trials, general corporate work and real estate transactions until 1983.  Over the next two and a half decades, Mr. Shaddock concentrated on real estate development and settlement services, creating the largest Fee Title Network in the State of Texas from 1987 to 2006, and ultimately building a real estate empire that includes Shaddock Development Company (most notable developments: Willow Bend and Stonebriar), Capital Title of Texas (largest independent title company in the State of Texas), Willow Bend Mortgage Company (Top 15 largest Metroplex mortgage lenders Dallas Business Journal 2001-2007), and most recently, the Shaddock Law Firm (specializing in the preparation of legal documents for title and residential mortgage lenders).  In addition to his professional accomplishments, Mr. Shaddock has earned numerous business and humanitarian awards, for both his business acumen and selfless work for the Dallas community as well as his alma maters.


Tracy McMahon is a highly accomplished attorney and escrow officer who is extremely experienced and knowledgeable in the title industry. Her ability to "think outside the box" and problem solve converts "challenges" into "closings"!

As a 1991 graduate of Central Missouri State University, Tracy moved to Texas when she was recruited to work in the Oil & Gas industry in the Environmental, Safety and Health Department. In 1997 she graduated 4th in her class from Wesleyan School of Law where she was a member of the Law Review, and had published an article in the Texas Wesleyan Law Review. Admitted to the State Bar in 1998, Tracy is a member of both the Tarrant County Bar Association and TLTA.

Before accepting her current position with Capital Title, Tracy was an attorney with Waddell & Waddell, Inc., practicing civil litigation. In 1999, she became a fee attorney for American Title Company, which later became known as LandAmerica American Title. She also continued a general law practice. In 2004, Tracy began concentrating her efforts in the title industry on reverse mortgages. At their peak she grew her business to approximately 120 closings per month in one office, while continuing to close commercial and additional residential transactions. In May 2009, she moved her fee office relationship to Capital Title. Her general law practice focuses on real estate curative matters, business entity formation, Landlord/Tenant, Probate and Guardianship. She is a frequent speaker on real estate topics at various real estate organizations in the DFW Metroplex.

Tracy is married to Kieran McMahon, Branch Manager for Willow Bend Mortgage in Colleyville. The couple have three children.


Ellen Wied earned her undergraduate degree from the University of Texas at Austin, graduating with high honors. She attended law school at the University of Houston and earned her JD in 1982. She began working in the real estate/title insurance industry in 1983 and has worked as underwriting and claims counsel for three national underwriters and as General Counsel at several central Texas title companies. She is thoroughly knowledgeable regarding all aspects of the title insurance industry and real estate closings.

Ellen has previously been an instructor at the TLTA Land Title School, served on the Texas Title Insurance Guaranty Board, numerous TLTA Committees, and was awarded the honor of being named an Outstanding Young Title Person by the Texas Land Title Association.
